So this time a month ago I was getting excited for Glastonbury festival to officially begin. It is a festival I have been lucky enough to have gone to so many times since being a teenager and the magic never fades. However, this was only the second time of me choosing to rock it alcohol-free baby! The time 21 years ago was due to being pregnant with my son which is still a bloody good reason!

Once again I was completely amazed at just how fabulous it is experiencing it fully present, with all my faculties in full working order - no staggering around bleary eyed trying to find a tent amongst the masses (which would have proved difficult this year as I now take the motorhome anyway!!), no missing bands I desperately wanted to see because of a heavy session the night before or passing out before they came on! The costumes, the theatre performances, the music, the bandstand, the tree of life, car henge, the smiles on people's faces as they take in the ambience of it all - yes including the odour from the toilets!

The whole vibe of this festival is just fabulous and it has always been my 'happy place' but now it is even more magical as I bimble around, fully appreciating the incredible and sometimes downright bizarre sights and sounds of people from all over the place, coming together to take some well earned time out of everyday life!!

There is simply no comparison anymore - give me the alcohol free Glastonbury experience every time!! My FOMO is definitely now my JOMO!! If you do ever get the chance to go, grab it with both hands as personally, it is the best festival in the world!!
